The vessel is the first 20,000 TEU-class containership deployed in THE Alliance's Asia to Europe trade via the FE2 service.
MOL Triumph made its inaugural calls to Dalian, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Yantian and Singapore, before it made a transit through the Suez Canal. It continued on to Tangier, Southampton, Hamburg, Rotterdam and Le Havre before calling back at Tangier and then Jebel Ali on its return voyage to Asia.
DPW, MOL and Kanoo Shipping welcomed the Master and Crew onboard during the vessel stay at Jebel Ali Port, through a recognition ceremony held at Wheel House T3 operation building.
Kanoo Shipping presented a plaque to the Master for the MOL Triumph’s maiden call. Mr John Drinkwater, the Country Manager for Kanoo Shipping - UAE & Oman, said, “We are delighted to welcome the new MOL Triumph, which is the largest containership in the world.
