One of the exhibition highlights was the added confidence placed on
Perkins-powered gensets for both prime and standby applications by customers.
This is because of the visibility and recognition given to authorized Perkins
Distributor OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) through 'Certificate of
Authenticity' that gives assurance to end-users in the genuineness of the
Perkins engines they are buying. This also gives the OEM an assurance of product
support to their end-users wherever their Perkins engines are operating.

This unique opportunity has encouraged many new genset assemblers to approach
Power Systems Gulf to join hands for engine business cooperation. Power Systems
Gulf engine sales package offers applications support, training, Extended
Service Contracts, OEM Dealer agreements and more importantly, stability in the
long term, to do business with a trusted Perkins partner upholding its values of
honesty and integrity.
Another noticeable point during the exhibition was the absence of serious
complaints on product support issues from territories. This is a testimony to
the fact that the new regional business model implemented is improving the
support levels for Perkins products in the region.
Middle East Electricity 2013 was the biggest event in its 38-year history
with over 18,000 visitors reviewing the latest products and services and 1,100
exhibitors from 60 countries. Close to 150 exhibitors – all generator set and
engine manufacturers including Perkins were gathered in one specific section,
Sheikh Saeed Halls which covers a total floor area of 5,750 square meters during
the exhibition.
With strong foundation in place and with the positive feedback received from
Middle East Electricity Exhibition, Power Systems Gulf is very optimistic to
grow Perkins business sustainably in the region through its strategic alignment
with Kanoo & Perkins vision.
