Dubai, UAE: Mr. Mishal Kanoo, Chairman of The Kanoo Group
(UAE & Oman) met with the South Korean Ambassador to the UAE H.E. Park
Kang-Ho and the commercial attaché Mr. Chae, Kyu Nam to discuss potential business opportunities
between South Korea and The Kanoo Group.

The Kanoo Group,
which has built a strong reputation across the region for over 125 years, has
diversified industries from shipping, travel, machinery, logistics, property, oil
& gas, power, industrial chemicals, training, joint ventures, retail and
commercial activities, among others.
During the meeting,
the parties exchanged talks on economic cooperation as well as regional and
international developments of mutual interest.
One of The Kanoo
Group divisions, Kanoo Travel, will be promoting Travel and Tourism both
inbound to the UAE and outbound to South Korea; and already started to focus on
the South Korean market.
Kanoo Travel boasts a
wide market presence, with offices in Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United
Arab Emirates, Oman, Egypt, and the UK. It also prides itself in solely
representing American Express Global Business Travel, one of the largest travel
management companies around the world.
Consequently, the commercial
attaché presented business service offerings in the UAE and South Korea in
areas of cooperation such as energy, travel & tourism, logistics, and entertainment.
Among other topics, Mr.
Mishal Kanoo congratulated H.E. Park Kang-Ho on the successful business tie-up between
the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) and the state-run utility Korea
Electric Power Corp (KEPCO).
The ambassador also extended
his support to The Kanoo Group and further invited Mr. Kanoo and his family to
visit the popular Jeju Island, the main island of Jeju Province of South Korea,
which contains the natural World Heritage Sites, Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava
Tube.
Finally, The Kanoo
Group reiterated its support for South Korean companies looking to invest and
establish in the region.
