"Nihao! China - Ten Million Tourists Exchange Program" Promotion in the UAE

On October 8th, 2023, the "Nihao! China - Ten Million Tourists Exchange Program" promotion was held in Dubai, UAE, hosted by the China Cultural Center in the UAE. This landmark event brought together:

  • -Representatives from 15 major airlines in China and the Middle East, including Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Emirates, Etihad and Fly Dubai
  • -30 tourism groups and travel agency buyers from China and the UAE, with Kanoo Travel playing a prominent role alongside other industry leaders

    H.E. Ms. Ou Boqian, Consul General of China in Dubai, delivered a keynote speech highlighting Chinese President Xi Jinping's vision of achieving 10 million mutual visits between Chinese and Arab tourists in the next five years. She emphasized the importance of cooperation between Chinese and Arab tourism professionals in showcasing China's unique culture and hospitality.

The Kanoo Group Hosts Tsinghua University Researchers for In-Depth Study on Middle East Family Businesses

 

Chairman of The Kanoo Group Mishal Kanoo was visited by The Research Center for Global Family Business at Tsinghua University's PBC School of Finance, led by its Director Tony (Hao) Gao, at The Kanoo Group’s Dubai headquarters and visited the Abu Dhabi office to meet with Abdullatif Kanoo.

The researchers have completed a comprehensive 9-day research tour across the Middle East, focusing on family businesses in the region. The tour included visits to prominent family business leaders, family office executives, and philanthropic foundations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Jeddah.

A highlight of the tour was the team's visit to The Kanoo Group, one of the largest and most diversified family businesses in the Middle East. With over 134 years of pioneering the future, The Kanoo Group is a UAE-based diversified business conglomerate and one of the largest independent, family-owned groups of companies in the Gulf region. In a dazzling display of youth football talent, the Hattrick Championship, a three-day tournament organized by Hattrick Football Academy, concluded with resounding success. The tournament, which saw 170 young footballers ages 9 to 14 across eight teams battle it out on the pitch, was more than just a competition; it was a celebration of community spirit and corporate social responsibility.
