Kanoo Travel team paddles to a grand Victory at White Water Rafting

Dubai, UAE: Kanoo Travel won the Championship title in the recent ‘Delta Challenge’ which was held on 11^th December 2015 at Wadi Adventure - Jebel Hafeet, with this year’s chosen theme for the ‘White Water Rafting’ challenge. Delta Airlines has been organising the ‘Delta Challenge’ for the past 8 years with different themes, and has been attended by major travel partners.

Every year, Kanoo Travel has been participating in this prestigious event as a travel partner for Delta Airlines, and has also won several Championship titles in the past.  

There were 4 participating teams from Kanoo Travel - Kanoo Riders, Kanoo Zombies, Kanoo Warriors and Kanoo Surfers, who joined the ‘Whitewater Rafting’ match for this year.

The Delta Challenge 2015 comprised of 20 teams from 17 travel companies that took part in the event. The experience consisted of 2 preliminary rounds of tough competitive rowing for the qualification. Later, 3 Kanoo Travel teams qualified for the final championship race which was the highlight of the competition.

White water rafting is an extreme endurance sport that requires team work, precision and stamina. Whilst the adrenaline boost of this team surfing adventure was remarkable, the bonding experience, fun, thrills and excitement was enthralling. Each team consisted of 5 members rowing through rapids on an inflatable raft down treacherous waters with the guidance of a raft instructor.

The ‘Kanoo Surfers’ team, Captained by Sunil D'Souza emerged victorious and walked away with the DL Championship Trophy for 2015.
