Ramadan, the most sacred month of the Islamic calendar, is a time of spiritual reflection, improvement and increased devotion and worship. It is a time where fasting is being observed and Muslims are expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam.

Fasting is intended to help teach Muslims self-discipline, self-restraint and generosity. The fast begins at dawn and ends at sunset. Each day before dawn, many Muslims observe a pre-fast meal called ‘Suhoor’ and a fast-breaking meal at sunset called ‘Iftar’.

Iftar is an Arabic term which literally means the breaking of the fast. It is the evening meal when Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast. Over time, Iftar has grown into banquet festivals and very much of a social event with religious significance and meaning.

The organised event mostly received positive reviews from attendees from the preparation, branding of The Kanoo Group depicting the elements of corporate identity, to the food and venue.

The Kanoo Group Iftar reflects the true spirit of Ramadan which is not only a time of goodwill and blessings but a special occasion where colleagues and friends spend quality time in an informal setting, and an act of gratitude to the employees’ contributions to the overall growth of the organisation.
