The competition began with a challenging first round, where Kanoo Travel faced intense matchups. Despite their strong efforts, the team found themselves in fifth place after the initial phase. However, as the tournament progressed into the second round, Kanoo Travel orchestrated a dramatic comeback.

With renewed focus and a refined approach, the team displayed outstanding performance, dominating their matches with precision and coordination that left their competitors in awe. Their remarkable turnaround was driven by three standout players—Faraj, Saud, and Lenroy—whose exceptional skills played a pivotal role in securing victory.

The tournament victory earned Kanoo Travel more than just local acclaim. The team's impressive performance has secured them a coveted spot in the selection for the worldwide finals to be held in Turkey.

Norwegian Sky Makes Maiden Call at Port Rashid – A Milestone Event for Kanoo Shipping

 

On Friday, 18th April 2025, the cruise vessel Norwegian Sky made her highly anticipated maiden call at Port Rashid, marking a significant milestone in the port’s growing cruise operations. The occasion was commemorated with a grand ceremony, celebrating the beginning of a promising relationship between the vessel and the port.

A key highlight of the event was the traditional plaque exchange ceremony—an esteemed maritime tradition symbolizing a warm welcome and the start of a new partnership. Representing Kanoo Shipping, the appointed agents for the cruise line, Captain Pramod Arora, Vice President – UAE & Oman, exchanged commemorative plaques with Captain Konstantinos Fafalios, Master of Norwegian Sky. Additional plaque exchanges took place between the vessel and key stakeholders, including Port Rashid Immigration authorities, Customs, and DP World representatives.

This maiden call not only signifies Kanoo Shipping’s capabilities in managing the comprehensive requirements of modern cruise vessels but also underscores the strategic role of Port Rashid in global cruise itineraries.
