The Kanoo Group’s Deputy Chairman offers condolences over the passing of Queen Elizabeth II

 



Mohamed Abdul Latif Kanoo, the Deputy Chairman of The Kanoo Group—one of the largest family-owned conglomerates across the region—has expressed his deepest condolences over the death of Queen Elizabeth II at the British Embassy in the UAE.

 

On behalf of the Group and the Kanoo family, the Deputy Chairman personally visited the Embassy—where he was received by HM Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the UAE His Excellency Patrick Moody—to pay respects to the late Queen.




 

Signing in the Embassy’s condolence book for the beloved Queen, the Deputy Chairman expressed his earnest sympathies to the royal family and the entire people of the UK—noting his confidence that under the new reign of His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the excellent relations between the UAE and the UK will continue to grow under HM’s reign into the future.

H.E. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi pays a visit to The Kanoo Group's main office

 

His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade paid a visit to The Kanoo Group to learn more about the operations of Kanoo Logistics



In line with the UAE Government’s continued commitment to propel businesses towards greater heights, His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, on July 20 paid a visit to the main office of The Kanoo Group—one of the largest family-owned conglomerates across the region.

H.E. Al Zeyoudi met with The Kanoo Group’s Chairman Mishal Kanoo and CEO Fahad Kanoo in order to learn more about the operations of Kanoo Logistics—one of the divisions of the company—in the UAE and the MENA region.

Kanoo Energy signs EoI with ADNOC for TA’ZIZ program

 


In a bid to unlock more opportunities for further industrial growth, Kanoo Energy, a division of The Kanoo Group, has signed an Expression of Interest (EoI) for the TA’ZIZ program with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), a diversified and integrated group of energy companies, during the ‘Make it in the Emirates’ forum last June 21, 2022.

 

The TA’ZIZ Industrial Chemicals Zone—a joint venture between ADNOC and Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company PJSC (ADQ), a sovereign wealth fund located in Abu Dhabi—aims to produce new industrial chemicals in the UAE for the first time, replacing chemicals currently imported, while also exporting to meet the growing demand for these chemicals globally.

 

The said signing aims to acknowledge the interest to locate activities at TA’ZIZ’s Light Industrial and Services Zones. The TA’ZIZ Zones promise to unlock opportunities for manufacturers and service providers, which will enable a wide variety of everyday products to be made locally in the UAE.

 

The Kanoo Group’s Area Executive Hesham Nass and Kanoo Energy’s General Manager Raman Marwaha participated in the said EoI signing, together with with Khaleefa Al Meheiri, the acting CEO of the Taziz program. Aside from Kanoo Energy, expressions of interest were signed with over 20 other investors.

 

The ‘Make it in the Emirates’, held last June 21 to 22, examined the UAE’s potential to become a global industrial hub. It tackled various opportunities in technology, hydrogen, petrochemicals and renewable energy, which have supported the UAE’s rise as a global hub for clean energy. It was organized by the Ministry of industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), in association with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED).

 

The two-day event also witnessed the attendance of major local and international industrial companies, UAE government entities and financial institutions operating in the UAE.

Kanoo Africa gets nominated to provide logistics, shore support for Weddell Sea Project

 



Kanoo Africa, a segment of Kanoo Shipping—a division of The Kanoo Group and Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo—has been nominated to provide logistics and shore support for the Weddell Sea Project.


The Weddell Sea Project is an expedition that aims to locate ‘Endurance’, a general cargo that was built in 2012 and is sailing under the flag of Antigua Barbuda. Kanoo Africa was chosen for this project as it has been providing support in Cape Town for the mobilization of the vessel SA Agulhas II, which has been chartered for this year’s expedition to Antarctica.

 

The expedition party will depart from Cape Town in February 2022, and shall return to the city in March this year. For this specific project, Kanoo Africa will be responsible for clearing and transporting specialized equipment and cargo that will be loaded onto the SA Agulhas II; bunkering and providing fuel supplies; husbandry services such as people movement, hotel bookings, COVID-19 screening and testing for the team; and providing local procurement and shore support.

The Kanoo Group celebrates the UAE’s 50th National Day

Dubai, UAE: The Kanoo Group recently organized small celebration last November 30 in line with the country’s 50th National Day. 

 














Observing proper precautionary measures, The Kanoo Group was able to organize small events at its main office in Bur Dubai, as well as its offices in Al Quoz & Abu Dhabi, to commemorate the country's independence for the past five decades.









This special occasion held at Dubai Main Office was graced by Ms. Maha Kanoo, General Manager - HR & Administration (UAE & Oman) as well as Mr. Fahad Kanoo, the CEO of The Kanoo Group-UAE & Oman, who led the cake-cutting ceremony.



 In the Abu Dhabi office, on the other hand, the small celebration was led by Mr. Mohamed Abdul Latif Kanoo, Deputy Chairman of The Kanoo Group.

The Kanoo Group offices were likewise adorned with miniature UAE flags and decorations to mark the special celebration, with giveaways being given to add delight to the festivities.



 





The 50th National Day of the UAE also kicked off the last holiday break of this year, as the 1st and 2nd of December were declared public holidays.

Kanoo Energy to showcase Technology & Sustainable energy solutions at ADIPEC 2021

The Kanoo Group welcomes new employees in newest social media campaign

The Kanoo Group—one of the largest family-owned conglomerates in the region—has put a spotlight on its employees as the company initiates its newest social media initiative, showcasing its warm welcome for the new joiners.


The social media campaign is the newest collaboration between the group’s Marketing and HR Departments. It aims to welcome the new members of the Kanoo family as well as highlight their roles across the company’s various divisions.


The said initiative is planned to be observed every month, in order to keep track of the new employees joining The Kanoo Group and its diversified brands.
